History
Rothstein Law Group PLC was established in 1973. Our practice is dedicated to representing individuals who have been injured through the negligence or wrongful conduct of others. We pride ourselves in maintaining a close attorney-client relationship. Our mission is to exceed our clients' financial expectations while leading and protecting them throughout the judicial process.
Our firm is made up of a diverse group of men and women who are all devoted to our firm's motto – CLIENT FIRST. All of our attorneys and professional support staff work together as a team to provide the highest level of legal services to our clients. Over the years we have recovered millions for thousands of satisfied clients. These loyal clients have formed the strength and foundation of our law firm.

Attorney Bios Lawrence Rothstein, Esq.
Lawrence R. Rothstein has been a licensed attorney in the State of Michigan for over 30 years. Lawrence graduated from Wayne State University in 1969 and earned a degree in political science. In 1972, Lawrence graduated from Wayne State University Law School. Lawrence has been admitted to practice law in all levels of the State and Federal Court Systems. In 1977, Lawrence was duly admitted and qualified to practice before the United States Supreme Court. He is a sustaining member of the Michigan Trial Lawyers Association and a member of the American Trial Lawyers Association. Lawrence is the founding member of Rothstein Law Group PLC. Despite his busy practice, Lawrence has always found time to give back to the community by doing pro bono or volunteer legal work. He has regularly counseled clients at the Southfield Legal Aid Program for nearly thirty years.
Jay L. Rothstein, Esq.
Jay L. Rothstein has been a licensed attorney in the State of Michigan for 30 years. Jay graduated magna cum laude from Wayne State University in 1974 and earned a dual degree in political science and speech / communications.
In 1976, Jay graduated magna cum laude from Wayne State University Law School. Jay is a member of both the State of Michigan and Federal Bars. Jay is an equity member at Rothstein Law Group PLC.
Mario J. Azzopardi, Esq.
Mario graduated from the University of Michigan-Dearborn with high academic achievement, earning his Bachelor of Arts degree. In 1992, Mario graduated from Detroit College of Law.
Mario is an active member of the American Bar Association. Mario is licensed to practice law in both the State of Michigan and Federal Courts.
Marisa Rothstein LaKind, Esq.
Marisa LaKind graduated with honors from the University of Michigan, earning her Bachelor of Arts degree. In 2001, Marisa graduated from Wayne State University Law School.
Marisa was an active member of the Wayne State International Moot Court Team. Marisa is a member of both the State of Michigan and Federal Bars. Marisa has experience in probate and estate planning. She focuses her practice on personal injury and social security disability.
Michael J. Rothstein, Esq.
Michael J. Rothstein is licensed to practice law in both the State of Michigan and Federal Courts. Michael graduated with honors from Michigan State University in 2003, earning a collegiate degree in business. In 2006, Michael graduated cum laude from Wayne State University Law School. Michael has been the recipient of numerous educational honors including the Order of the Coif and a Silver Key certificate. He is presently working on a Masters in Business at Wayne State University School of Business’ Graduate Program. Michael is also a member of the American Bar Association and Michigan Trial Lawyers Association. He focuses his practice on personal injury and employment discrimination law.
